Description
I am using a FTDI cable to program via CHIRP on OSX (Macbook Pro). I can download from the radio and initiate the upload to the radio just fine. The radio goes into 'CL IN' mode without issue but then goes to 'CL NG' (cloning error) and freezes. After power cycling the radio, it resets all settings and programming to factory default.
I have no issues using CHIRP to program Baofengs with FTDI cables on the same OSX machine. Thanks in advance.

I can also use the same cable and settings successfully on a Windows 10 machine with CHIRP.

Smaart 7 keygen osx torrent windows 7. You're locked in a catch-22.
Some Icom radios are known to deny cooperation with FTDI cables (even genuine ones). Please try a cable with a genuine Prolific chip.
Unfortunately cables with fake 'Prolific' chips make the vast majority of cables on the market; genuine Prolific cables are on the more expensive side.

Now the problem with MacOS is that it seems to like FTDI, but not so much Prolific (even genuine ones).
The one thing you can try is a different operating system for now - and that you found out yourself already).. :-/

Thanks for the explaination. I have a genuine FTDI cable and also have multiple genuine Icom cables. The Icom cables won't work with OSX or Win10, but the FTDI works with Win10. I don't have anything running XP or Win7 to test the Icom cables as was suggested on a different forum.
Funny enough if I Bootcamp the MBP into Windows 10, FTDI works just fine with the IC-208H on the same machine.

In this case - i.e. FTDI cable works under Windows, but not on Mac - you have an FTDI driver problem on your Mac side. From what I hear, drivers for USB to Serial converters are a bit on the weak side on Macs.
Icom 208h Transceiver
My previous comment doesn't apply, since you already had stated that it works under Windows - my apologies.
